Young RMLA Canterbury : Asbestos 101
Asbestos was first hailed as a wonder product with thousands of uses and raw products being mined on almost every continent to being identified as a major risk to human health, banned from being imported into New Zealand and responsible for the highest cause of work related deaths per year in New Zealand.
But when are we really at risk from asbestos and where would we find it?
ENGEO’s Asbestos Team will provide an over view of the history of asbestos, the health implications, a summary of the Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016 and where asbestos can be found in buildings.
At the end of the talk, the floor will be open for a discussion with a question and answer session.
Please feel free to pass this invitation on to other juniors at your work place who may be interested.
