RMLA/NELA Memorandum of Understanding

RMLA currently enjoys a strong relationship with the National Environmental Law Association (NELA) which was strengthened in 2008 following agreement of both Associations to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to outline our approach to reciprocal membership rights across the organisations, and provide some guidelines around publishing articles in our respective journals.

Earthquakes affect buildings in several ways. The primary way is through the inertial forces generated as the ground moves beneath the building resisted by the building's mass. A building may also be affected by the loss of support under its foundations.

RMLA Special Interest Groups

Re-organisation of the RMLA Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

After consideration by the National Committee, it has been decided to reorganise the RMLA Special Interest Groups.

Young RMLA Initiative

The intention of the 'Young RMLA' is to provide a forum for those in the early stages of their RMA career, say up to around 5-8 years or less experience in their respective fields to meet and share experiences, and to encourage the attendance of young/new members, non-members, as well as new members to the RMLA. This will also provide a greater incentive for young practitioners to join the RMLA, network with their peers and attend seminars / functions etc that might better meet their needs.
