Regional Profile – Matt Allott
Matt joined Boffa Miskell in 2005 and became a Principal of the company in 2013. He is the Chair of RMLA Bay of Plenty.
Matt is a respected planning professional, known for his facilitation skills and innovative approach to resource management. He has extensive experience as both a project co-ordinator and a specialist consultant on a range of complex planning and design projects.
Matt specialises in assisting public, corporate and private clients to integrate development within sensitive environments.
He has a very good understanding of the legislative and political processes that influence the manner in which resources are managed, used and developed. As a consequence he has developed a familiarity with the common challenges faced by resource users and administrators alike.
Matt is an experienced expert witness, having presented evidence at the Environment Court and at Local Authority hearings in relation to a range of resource consent and policy development matters.
He provides clients with practical planning and consultation advice, ensuring work outcomes that satisfy client and environmental expectations.
