Hamilton City Council : Senior Planner – Parks

As the Senior Planner in the Community Group you will be responsible for providing information and guidance related to Parks and Open Spaces planning, This requires a strong understanding of the Resource Management Act and Reserves Act, experience with more complex resource consent applications in particular greenfield development, and plan making processes under the RMA in order to manage the effects of the use, development, or protection of land and associated natural and physical resources in the city. An understanding of strategic planning for open space provision and land acquisition and the relationship with funding mechanisms available to local government is also an important part of the role.

You will have a Bachelor in Planning or Resource Management, or equivalent tertiary qualification and at least five years’ experience in planning and resource management application for the role.
