NZPI : Airport of the future
In 2014 Auckland Airport announced its 30-year vision to build the airport of the future. Implementation of that vision is now well underway, with significant investment in aeronautical infrastructure to ensure that the Airport can accommodate 40 million passengers and 260,000 flights by 2040. A significant project to achieve that vision is the development of the new northern runway, which has recently been confirmed in Auckland Airport’s designations within the Auckland Unitary Plan.
Come along to hear from Emma Howie, Manager Statutory Planning at Auckland Airport, and Allison Arthur-Young, Partner at Russell McVeagh on the Notice of Requirement for the Second Runway, as well as key issues, challenges and opportunities associated with planning for the future at Auckland Airport.
