This series aims to provide new in career practitioners with an overview of what different experts do and how to best work and collaborate with them.

Sarah Scott is a partner at law firm Simpson Grierson. Sarah specialises in environmental law and consenting of projects. She has an in-depth understanding of all environmental regimes, and in particular extensive experience in strategic planning and policy work. This includes acting for Queenstown Lakes District Council on its on-going and litigious plan review, and before that for Christchurch City Council following the earthquakes. Sarah also specialises in consenting projects under the RMA and related legal regimes, with her experience including infrastructure, water take/discharge, stormwater, property development and hotels. She also acts for local authorities in defending appeals and judicial reviews.

Hannah Wilson is a Registered Landscape Architect with Boffa Miskell Limited. Graduating with a Master of Landscape Architecture in 2019, she specialises in landscape and coastal natural character studies, and has undertaken several landscape effects assessments for projects throughout the country. Hannah’s work is often collaborative, working with ecologists, planners, landscape architects, scientists, and engineers to assist in shaping better landscape outcomes for her projects.

Please pass this on to any new in career practitioners you think may be interested in attending – all are welcome to attend this free event!
