RMLA asks Minister for more time to provide feedback on targeted changes to the RMA

The Minister Responsible for RMA Reform, the Hon. Chris Bishop, wrote to the RMLA and other parties before Easter inviting views on the changes to the RMA. Initial feedback was originally requested by 5 April 2024 on suggestions as to what should be included in the second Bill.

RMLA responded by asking for more time than the original four business days to provide feedback. Subsequently an extension to the deadline has been granted. Although no precise date was provided, we have been asked to note that the sooner feedback is provided, the greater consideration responses can be given.

You can read the Minister’s letter below which includes details of where to send any feedback of your own.
