Getting Ready for Transitional Consenting Workshop Series

  • Resource Management Law Association of New Zealand Incorporated PO Box 20126 Auckland 0641 New Zealand (map)

The New Zealand Planning Institute (NZPI) and RMLA are delivering a series of 3-hour online workshops to support understanding and readiness for transitional consenting.

The workshops will be focused on the scope of effects reduction, specifically the s104(1A), s104AA and s76A RMA changes. The training will cover three main topics:

  • An overview of the finalised provisions of the Planning Act

  • What the law means for interpreting district plan provisions, and

  • What the law means for the resource consent process

The workshops are primarily aimed at consent planners and practitioners working on applications. The workshops are all online, but we are still seeking to provide an opportunity for practitioners in a region to attend the same online workshop. If you can't make your specific day and time, you can still register for any other workshop that best suits.

MCERT is sponsoring this workshop as part of their commitment to supporting effective implementation of the new planning system.

These workshops are offered free of charge. Spaces are strictly limited, and we expect demand to be high, so early registration is encouraged. Register via the NZPI website below.

If you do not have an NZPI profile, you can create one under “guest user”.
