Salmon Lecture: Access to Justice for the Natural Environment

  • Wellesley Boutique Hotel 2-8 Maginnity Street Wellington 6011 New Zealand (map)

Don’t Miss This Year’s Salmon Lecture - Registration Now Open!

This year, we are honoured to welcome Judge Laurie Newhook — former Chief Environment Court Judge — as our guest lecturer. His address, titled “Access to Justice for the Natural Environment” challenges us to consider:

  • Should there be access to justice for the natural environment?

  • If so, how can this be achieved?

  • Challenges in legal and adjudicatory frameworks

Held at the elegant Wellesley Boutique Hotel in Wellington and livestreamed nationally, the Lecture brings together legal professionals, planners, policymakers, tangata whenua, scientists and environmental leaders from across Aotearoa.

  • Wednesday 6 August

  • 5:30pm Welcome Reception

  • 6:00pm Lecture + Q&A

Register to attend in person or join us online via livestream. Spaces are limited and this event fills quickly.
