Raewyn leads the Environmental Defence Society’s environmental policy work and brings over three decades of experience as a resource management lawyer and adviser to business, government, and the not-for-profit sector. In 2023, she was honoured with the RMLA Outstanding Person Award.

In this session, Raewyn will canvass challenges in managing the coastal marine area and opportunities to make progress overcoming them:

  • Review of progress, drawing on lessons in the Hauraki Gulf

  • The potential of marine spatial planning

  • What the RM Reform (RM3) might mean for our oceans and coasts
