Taranaki Council Round-Up

  • Venue TBC New Plymouth New Zealand (map)

RMLA Taranaki is pleased to present the Taranaki “Council Round-up”.

We will be joined by representatives from Taranaki Regional Council, New Plymouth District Council, Stratford District Council and South Taranaki District Council who will each offer their take on hot topics and current issues in the consenting and planning space across the region.

This year has been one of significant and ongoing change, both regionally and nationally and the Round-Up will cover a broad range of issues our local authorities are facing.  From the ongoing amendments to the RMA, changes to national direction and the looming introduction of the Planning and Natural Environment Bills, to the latest on local plan changes, plan reviews and projects of interest, there’s plenty to unpack.  You can expect updates on trends in consenting, approaches to common issues and what’s top of mind for each council now.

This is a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from councils, ask questions and discuss how we, as practitioners, can do our bit to keep the planning wheels turning smoothly.

We are encouraging full and frank discussion and questions by employing Chatham House rules, which also means we will not be streaming or recording the event.

Please hold the date - registrations to open soon.
