The Digital Reef Charitable Trust is seeking up to 3 new trustees to join its founding board. Digital Reef is a New Zealand not-for-profit established in 2026 to build shared, open spatial-data infrastructure that helps recreation and community-wellbeing organisations participate more effectively in spatial planning and resource management.  As the resource management system is reformed, the values held by these often under-represented groups — public access, outdoor recreation, and place-based wellbeing — need a stronger evidential and participatory footing. The Trust exists to provide that civic infrastructure, grounded in principles of stewardship and shared governance of common resources. Its services will also be available to Councils and other public purpose organisations, and commercial companies, in the same vein.
