Entries are now open for RMLA Annual Awards and Scholarships

Entries for the RMLA Annual Awards 2026 and applications for the RMLA Scholarships 2026 are now open.

The Annual Awards recognise excellence in resource management law, policy and practice across Aotearoa New Zealand, celebrating the people, projects, publications and technical work making a meaningful contribution to better resource management outcomes.

RMLA Scholarship applications are also open for graduate students undertaking research connected to resource management in New Zealand, including work that contributes to mātauranga Māori in the environmental space. One or more Masters scholarships may be awarded from an annual fund of $15,000, generally through three scholarships of $5,000.

Both Awards entries and Scholarship applications close at 11:59pm on 15 June 2026. Judging will be completed by 24 June 2026, with recipients to be recognised at our Annual Awards evening on 11 September 2026 in Paihia.

Applicants and nominators are encouraged to review the relevant guidelines and submit completed materials to us by the cut off date.
