Further Amendment Papers released for Natural Environment and Planning Bills

The Government has announced a further package of proposed amendments to the Planning Bill and Natural Environment Bill as the legislation progresses towards the Committee of the Whole House stage.

The announced changes cover a number of significant areas, including environmental limits and resource use, freshwater farm plans, infrastructure consenting, indigenous biodiversity, existing-use rights, and a proposed new Urban Land Market Officer.

More than 1000 pages (combined) have now been released in amendment papers for the Natural Environment and Planning Bills.
