Natural Environment Bill - select committee report delayed

The Natural Environment Bill was introduced on December 9, 2025 with the aim of managing impacts from the use of natural resources and protect the environment from harm. It is part of a broader resource management reform program and is currently before the Environment Committee for review.

The select committee report on the Bill is now expected to be released on 20 July 2026.
