Pathways to Practice – Breakfast with Barristers

  • Resource Management Law Association of New Zealand Incorporated PO Box 20126 Auckland 0641 New Zealand (map)

Young RMLA Auckland are excited to introduce our new event series – Pathways to Practice. It is designed to explore the diverse ways professionals can build and shape their careers within the resource management field. Throughout the year, this series will showcase different practice pathways, offering insights, practical advice, and opportunities to learn from practitioners with a diverse range of experience.

Launch Event

We are pleased to launch the series with Breakfast with Barristers – an insight into practicing RM law at the bar. We’re excited to be joined by two experienced barristers:‍ ‍

·       Madeleine Wright – Mills Lane Chambers
·       Patrick Senior Shortland Chambers

The session will be relatively informal and provide you with the opportunity to gain insight into working as an RM barrister, including discussions on the key skills involved and realities of practice. As the name suggests, complimentary breakfast and coffee are included – thanks to Bell Gully. ‍Note that presenters will begin at 7:45am. Please arrive at 7:30am if you wish to have breakfast.

Please feel free to enter any questions / queries you have for our panellists into the following google form.

As an aside…If you are interested in exploring different career pathways and would like to see a future topic for this series, we would love to hear from you. These events are designed to provide the greatest value to you as the future of the RM profession.
